Prayer Requests: How First Church Supports the Community At the First Church of the Nazarene in Lynn, MA, prayer is at the heart of everything we do. We believe in the power of prayer to bring comfort, healing, and guidance to those in need. That's why we have a dedicated section on our website for prayer requests, where members of our community can submit their prayer needs and have them lifted up by our pastoral team and congregation. Prayer is a powerful tool that connects us to God and to one another. It allows us to bring our joys, concerns, and burdens before the Lord, knowing that He hears and cares for us. At First Church, we believe in the importance of supporting one another through prayer, and we are committed to standing with our community in times of need. When you submit a prayer request through our website, you can be assured that it will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and respect. Our pastoral team, led by Rev. Gina Tillotson-Cordy, will personally pray for each request and bring it before the Lord. Additionally, our congregation is encouraged to pray for these requests during our weekly worship services and throughout the week. We understand that prayer is not just about asking for help, but also about expressing gratitude and seeking guidance. That's why our prayer request form allows you to share your praises and thanksgivings as well. We believe in celebrating the goodness of God and giving thanks for His faithfulness in our lives. In addition to submitting prayer requests, we also encourage you to reach out to our pastoral team directly if you need someone to talk to or if you have specific prayer needs that require immediate attention. Rev. Gina Tillotson-Cordy can be contacted at ginatc1976@gmail.com. We are here to support you and walk alongside you in your journey of faith. Prayer is not just a one-way conversation; it is a dialogue with God. As we lift our prayers to Him, we also listen for His voice and seek His guidance. We believe that God speaks to us through His Word, the Bible, and through the promptings of the Holy Spirit. That's why we encourage everyone to engage in regular Bible study and reflection, so that we can grow in our understanding of God's will for our lives. At First Church, we are committed to supporting our community through prayer. We believe that prayer has the power to transform lives and bring about positive change. We invite you to join us in prayer, whether it's by submitting a prayer request, attending our weekly worship services, or participating in our Bible studies. Together, let's seek God's guidance, find comfort in His presence, and experience the power of prayer in our lives.
