Making Christlike Disciples: First Church's Mission and Vision At the First Church of the Nazarene in Lynn, MA, our mission and vision are centered around making Christlike disciples and serving our community. We believe that by following the teachings of Jesus Christ, we can make a positive impact on the lives of those around us. Our vibrant and diverse congregation reflects our commitment to inclusivity and unity in Christ. One of the ways we fulfill our mission is through our various community initiatives. Our monthly food pantry, LIFT, provides essential groceries to those in need. We believe that it is our responsibility as followers of Christ to care for the physical needs of our community. By offering this service, we hope to alleviate some of the burdens faced by individuals and families in Lynn. Another important aspect of our ministry is our involvement in the prison ministry through New Brothers Fellowship. We believe in the power of redemption and restoration, and we strive to support and encourage those who are incarcerated. Through our prison ministry, we offer hope, guidance, and spiritual support to individuals who are seeking a fresh start. In addition to these initiatives, we also host weekly meetings for Alcoholic Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and Girl Scouts. We understand the importance of providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals and groups who are seeking healing, recovery, and personal growth. By opening our doors to these organizations, we hope to be a source of strength and encouragement to those who need it. Worship is a central part of our church community. Our worship services are a blend of classic hymns and modern praise music, led by a talented worship band. We believe that worship is not just about singing songs, but about connecting with God and experiencing His presence. Our desire is to create an atmosphere where people can encounter God and grow in their relationship with Him. Community and fellowship are also emphasized at First Church. We believe that we are stronger together, and we encourage our members to connect with one another through monthly lunches and various Bible studies throughout the week. These gatherings provide opportunities for spiritual growth, support, and friendship. To stay updated with the happenings at First Church, we have a "News & Updates" section on our website. Our church building features a beautiful sanctuary, a meeting/conference room, and a basement meeting room with a kitchen. The rental fees are reasonable, with the sanctuary priced at $200 for a single 4-hour chunk, the meeting/conference room at $50 per hour, and the basement meeting room and kitchen at $25 per hour.
